Our Lawer Estate Syrah is my favorite January dormancy wine for a simple cozy meal, or just to sip in the evening, curled up in your favorite chair with that book you’ve been wanting to read. The classic wine pairing for the 1 Pot Mussel Stew
dish is a juicy rosé like our Lawer Estates Rosé of Syrah, which is great year round.
Try them both - same vintage, same varietal, same vineyard managers, same vineyard, same winemakers - and taste the difference in the winemaking style. The fruit for the Syrah is from Block 1 at the top of the hill, the warmest area of the vineyard, and the fruit for the Rosé of Syrah is from Block 3, a bit cooler and lower on the hillside, with wonderful morning sun.
This set includes 2 bottles of each PLUS ground shipping on us.

Lawer Rose is a beautiful shining blush color. The nose has a splendid bouquet of intense red fruits. On the palate, aromas of tangerine, strawberry and white peach are energized by a hint of white pepper. The Rose bursts with vibrant, floral aromas and mouthwatering fruit flavors of strawberry, cranberry and watermelon. The finish is fresh with red currant and clementine. This off-dry Rose offers a touch of honey and silkiness on the palate, complemented by bright acidity and notes of rose petal and orange peel.
Deep ruby color with garnet highlights. The aromatic nose has outstanding aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and figs. Also, aromas of crème de cassis melded with mild notes of leather and dark chocolate are apparent, which are very characteristic of Syrah. The Syrah is co-fermented with 2% Viognier adding to the rich, dense wine with notes of herbs, toasty oak and layers of bramble and blackberry fruit. The palate is well balanced with rich acidity, incredibly smooth tannins, tremendous structure, and generous volume.
